Frequently Asked Questions
Can anyone walk into a food bank?
If you need food urgently, you can visit us at All Saints Church, Church Avenue, Highams Park, London, E4 9QZ where we’ll see how to best support you, while you use our free community cafe to have lunch. We do require a referral form to support you on an ongoing basis
We are fortunate to have the support of many local supermarkets, including Tesco, Morrisons & Waitrose, who give us excess food at the end of the day. We have a team of volunteer evening drivers who pick up this food and bring it to the Hub – get in touch here if you’d like to join the team.
Do food banks take out-of-date tins in the UK?
No, food banks do not accept tins that are out of date. It’s important to make sure all food is safe to eat. Please check the date before donating.
