About
Highams Park Hub
An East London Food Hub
We believe no one should go hungry or feel unable to seek support.
The Hub provides a supportive and non-judgemental service for the community, run by the community.
Highams Park Hub, also known as “The Hub”, is a community-led food bank serving Highams Park and Chingford – think of us as an East London Food Hub.
Established during the COVID-19 pandemic, we aim to support those struggling to obtain food supplies.
Today, we continue to assist individuals and families who are experiencing financial difficulties who are referred to us by a professional.
Hunger is a pressing issue in our community.
Rising living costs and unexpected hardships push more people to the edge every day. Without urgent action, families will continue to struggle to put food on the table.
Over the past 5 years our public funding has been reduced significantly and if we don’t find sustainable support, Highams Park Hub may be forced to close its doors. That would mean turning away people who have nowhere else to go.
We provide food and household essentials to those in need within the E4 area.
Our doors are open for beneficiaries to collect food every Tuesday and Thursday between 11am and 1pm at All Saints Church in Highams Park.
Our Hub Cafe is open at those times and additionally between 11am and 2pm on Wednesdays to foster a sense of belonging and support for everyone who walks through our doors.
We can’t do this alone. Whether you donate, volunteer, or simply spread the word, your support keeps us going.
A small act of kindness can mean everything to a family in crisis. Stand with us.
Together, we can keep our Waltham Forest neighbours fed, supported, and hopeful for a better future.
Hear It For Yourself
Hear from those we’ve helped; real stories of resilience, hope, and the impact of Highams Park Hub.
The food bank really helps me with the basics… I can feed my children with real food and cook from scratch.

Beneficiary
I love it. Everyone is really friendly. I thought a food hub would be just handing out bags, but it’s so much more – a real community with warmth and dignity.

Volunteer
I enjoy it – it feels worthwhile. Seeing people chat, get help, and feel welcome really shows how different this place is from other food banks.

The food bank has also been a great place to meet people for a chat and a coffee which has helped me so much.
